Is it a crime against your skin to pop pimples? The answer is – Hell yes! I know, even I have popped and squeezed those nasty little ones on my face, despite being advised not to do so. It surely is very tempting! For most of us, the answer to getting rid of that zit is to attack it with your non sterile pimple extractor or just with your bare hands. You feel doing this would just be an immediate solution to clear it off. Unfortunately, your skin takes this two finger acne treatment very seriously and doesn’t respond really well. Your skin reacts by inflaming the area, scarring and spreading the bacteria all over again leading to new zits the next morning!
In spite of reading it everywhere and knowing all the consequences, you might still want to pop it! So, in such cases when it just gets irresistible try using the Hydrocolloid or acne patches. These are pretty good when it comes to avoiding that pimple attack as well as treating them. They have been pretty popular in Korea over a decade now.
If there is an urgent need of getting rid of a zit in a day, you could also visit a dermatologist who would give you a cortisone injection on the zit which would have an immediate effect, by decreasing the inflammation and by healing it faster.

Hi there! I am so sorry to hear that, but I totally understand how you feel. In such cases when you feel like nothing is really working out, you should definitely consult a dermatologist who would run some blood tests and would advice you proper treatment for acne. You are right about popping it resulting in more pimples, I’ve experienced that. Healthy skin is hard to achieve but am on that journey

I KNOW!! But when you just ignore them, other people notice them and tell you to pop them. Luckily I hardly get them any more I wish I had known about non-popping options back in the day!

There’s another risk. Poke, pick, prick, and prod a pimple, and you can force the debris and bacteria even deeper into your skin. You may also introduce new kinds of bacteria from your finger into the zit. That can cause the pimple to become more red, inflamed, swollen and infected, and may even lead to permanent scarring. Think of a pimple as a little sack that holds oil, debris, and acne bacteria. It’s best to let a pimple run through its life span.
